Situation

A new hotel in Tai Kok Tsui will start their business in 2019. In celebration of its commencement, they invite people to provide a creative design for the hotel’s logo and brand name. With no specific theme and colour, just looking for innovative and creative idea. The hotel will be located in Tung Chau Street, Kowloon.

The goals of event is to inspire innovative creation and interaction between design and hotel industries in Hong Kong. To increase their sense of belonging towards Hong Kong. Moreover, encourage people’s participation in community development.

The selection criteria of this competition will be judged by originality, creatiivity, aesthetic quality reproducibility and design relevance.

August + Guest = Auguest

Auguest Hotel is inspired by the word-August and it sounded like “All guest”; therefore, combined both meanings then become- Auguest Hotel. Besides, Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August and is used to releases negative emotion and heals emotional wound which means Auguest Hotel can provide a healing and comfortable accommodation to all the guest during the stay. The meaning of the name has carried over ‘ Auguest serve all guest without stressed and feel blessed. ’

八玥酒店取自同音字「八月」。國際寶石界把橄欖石列為八月份的象徵寶石，此寶石價格適中，顏色艶麗悅目，受人們所喜愛，而且擁有太陽一般的力量，能夠消除人對黑夜的恐懼。另外「玥」是古代傳說中的神珠，寓為吉祥而且擁有非凡的內質。根據「八月」和「玥」所象徵的意義，非常切合貴酒店的形象和目標市場，寓意貴酒店能在競爭對手中突圍而出，受顧客寵愛，亦能夠讓顧客可以釋懷放心地使用貴酒店裹所有的設施，給予一個安心舒適的住宿環境。
